Oh Wow Cool PDF is a publishing platform conceived to reconsider the PDF as a final form rather than a transitional file type. The identity engages with the format’s in-between status, treating it as both tool and destination.
The mark balances digital structure with human imperfection. Computer-generated precision is offset by hand-drawn references, echoing the tension between system and expression embedded in the medium itself.
The name nods to the bureaucratic acronym OWCP, reframed with irony. It sits between sincerity and critique, acknowledging the cultural hesitation around treating the PDF as a finished publishing format.
Typography draws from technical and editorial traditions, referencing early computing interfaces and document systems without becoming nostalgic. A highlighter green serves as a functional accent, recalling markup and annotation while remaining adaptable across light and dark environments.
Photography is treated atmospherically and often abstracted, reinforcing mood over narrative and supporting the identity’s emphasis on format rather than content.
